It used to be that blood was cheap
and cost less than energy drinks,

but then it went and got too sweet
Now tests “A” for diabetes.

It used to be that blood ran smooth
when leeches ruled the doctor’s room,

and now it tastes like fossil fuels
with just a hint of iron.

It used to be that blood had style
and ran blue through the rank and file.

It was soon corrupted way too wild,
when blue bloods voted red.

It used to be that blood had class
served specially in a wine glass.

Now patients request plastic bags
before they pass away.

It used to be that blood was cool
before the vampires came to school.

They killed the leeches, took their rule
now sparkle while they drink.
